Julia Pereira é uma artista brasileira nascida na cidade de São Paulo, onde vive e trabalha. Em 2018 graduou-se em Artes Visuais no Centro Universitário Belas Artes São Paulo com o prêmio de melhor aluna e, em 2020, realizou Pós-Graduação em História da Arte –Teoria e Crítica na mesma instituição. Embora a pintura seja o foco de sua produção, a artista tem a fotografia, o desenho e o vídeo como aliados em seu processo, que parte da sua esfera de relações afetivas. Ao trazer para a pintura pessoas que fazem parte da sua intimidade, a artista cria uma nova maneira de relacionar-se com elas. Esta relação é transposta na pintura através da ligação entre a memória da experiência com as sensações corpóreas ativadas por esta memória, resultando em construções e desconstruções imagéticas que dialogam com questões de seu próprio corpo, pulsões, desejos, exorcismos e a busca pela captura do tempo para não deixar morrer o instante presente. 

Julia Pereira is a Brazilian artist born in the city of São Paulo, where she lives and works. In 2018 she graduated in Visual Arts at the Centro Universitário Belas Artes São Paulo awarded as the best student and, in 2020, she took a Post-Graduation in Art History - Theory and Criticism at the same institution. Although painting is the focus of her production, the artist has photography, drawing, and video as allies in her process, which starts from her sphere of affective relationships. By bringing people who are part of her intimate life into the painting, the artist creates a new way of relating to them. This relationship is transposed in the painting through the connection between the memory of the experience and the bodily sensations activated by this memory, resulting in imagetical constructions and deconstructions that deals with issues related to her own body, drives, desires, exorcisms, and the quest to capture time so as not to let the present moment die.
